Programme Overview
Introduction
The Masters in Theology is an innovative and practical degree program for Pastors, Church workers, Academicians, lay persons in the church, and Para-church organizations. This programme prepares persons for ministry either in the church or in faith-based organizations and other areas e.g. counselling, chaplaincy and teaching.
Programme Objectives
The goal of the MTh programme is to offer a combination of theoretical knowledge and concrete skills in the study of Theology that by the end of the programme, the student should be able to demonstrate critical knowledge of the structure, central themes, historical, cultural, and literary nature of the subject of theology and its relevance for contemporary society.
Specializations
- Biblical Studies (Biblical Translation, Old Testament and New Testament);
- Ecumenical Leadership;
- Missiology;
- Practical Theology (Pastoral Counselling and Pastoral Ministry tracks);
- Systematic Theology (Systematic, Philosophy, and Gender Theology); and
- World Christianity.
Duration
2 years (4 semesters).
