SPU Inks Deal with Leading Romanian Universities

Collaboration has been one of the pillars of St. Paul’s University’s (SPU) tremendous growth over the years. The university and partner organizations have each benefited significantly as result of cordial working relationships as well as well-structured implementation of the partnerships owing to the expertise brought on board.

On Wednesday 2nd April 2025, SPU got into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two Romanian universities: University of Petrosani and Aurel Vlaicu of Arad. Signing of the MOU took place at SPU’s main campus in Limuru and was witnessed by top leadership for both universities; the Board of Management of St. Paul’s University led by Prof. James Kombo, Vice Chancellor, and Romanian envoys led by the Aurel Vlaicu of Arad Rector. H.E Gentiana Serbu, the Romanian Ambassador to Kenya was also present during the momentous event.

The MOU seeks to foster cooperation in academia for both undergraduate and postgraduate students with specific focus on advancing collaborative research, joint training and grant application, lectures, symposia and international meetings, faculty and student exchange programmes, consultancies and joint dissemination of research findings.

We look forward to fruitful engagements with our Romanian counterparts.
