LIMURU, KENYA — Under clear skies and perfect weather conditions on Saturday, 20th June 2026, the St. Paul’s University (SPU) main campus and its environs came alive with energy, purpose, and solidarity. Hundreds of fitness enthusiasts, corporate partners, alumni, staff, and students gathered for the highly anticipated Elimu Bora Run 2026.

More than just a sports event, the marathon has solidified its place as a flagship university movement blending physical fitness, community building, and educational wellness. Most importantly, every stride taken on the tarmac was dedicated to a noble cause: raising scholarship funds to create opportunities and empower deserving, bright students pursuing their higher education dreams at St. Paul’s University.

The event kicked off early in the morning with high-energy warm-up sessions before the official flag-off. Signaling the university's deep commitment to the cause, The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Esther Mombo, was at the forefront of the day's activities.

Prof. Mombo officially flagged off the rigorous 15km race, cheering on the seasoned runners and elite athletes who stepped up to the grueling challenge. This particular track was not for the faint-hearted; it was designed for those willing to stretch their physical limits to support an invaluable cause.

Underscoring the belief that leadership means walking the talk, the Vice Chancellor did not just watch from the sidelines. Prof. Mombo actively participated in the 5km race, running and walking alongside corporate executives, students, and community members, ensuring that every single step mattered.
