Prof. Abraham Waithima Feted for Invaluable Contribution in Corporate Governance

Prof. Abraham Waithima, St. Paul’s University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs is a seasoned Economist with a wealth of experience in teaching, research and supervision of scholars in his specialty and administration. Prof. Waithima has not only made immense impact in academia but also in the Corporate world having held various positions of responsibilities in organizations of repute and rose through the ranks to his current portion at St. Paul’s University.

As a result, The Council, Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) on Friday 28th August 2026 honored Prof. Abraham Waithima, by awarding him the Honorary Fellow Certified Secretary (FCS) on account of his enormous contribution in the corporate governance space during a colorful 31st ICS Annual Gala Dinner held at Serena Hotel, Nairobi. The high level event was graced by Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of Boards, CEO’s and Heads of Institutions among experts, who converged to celebrate excellence, and professionalism; who are at the centre of curating conversations designed to sharpen boardroom leadership and strengthen governance practice among public and private institutions.
