INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

International students enrich the university with their different ethnic and cultural norms that are shared among their peers.

ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION

The St. Paul's University Community comprises of a diverse student population from different nationalities, with varied cultures. This accords students an opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds and appreciate diverse ethnic and cultural norms.

Foreign nationals intending to enroll for any of the programmes offered at St. Paul's University are advised to submit applications physically, send to the email admissions@spu.ac.ke or fill an online application form accessible on the online applications portal.
Prior to submission of the applications, the Academic Registry advises the potential applicants to equate their academic papers to their equivalent in the Kenyan education system as follows:
Upon successful equation, the potential students then submit their applications for processing within three days. Once their admission letters are ready, they are notified and asked to confirm whether they are ready to register for the next intake. Upon confirmation, the Academic Registry shares the students details with the Dean of Students Office to guide the students on travel, international students pass and accommodation. The Academic Registry also advises them to seek police clearance from their respective countries

TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION

The Dean of Students Office assists international students with travel from their country to Kenya and to the university. Once the office receives a student's details from the Academic Registry, the student is contacted to get details of the date of travel, departure time from their country and arrival time in Kenya. The office then organizes for airport pickup for a student travelling by air and border pickup for those coming by road. Upon the student's arrival on campus, officers in the Dean Office assists with settling down in terms of meals, accommodation and showing them around Limuru as well as the country.

Students who are not proficient in English are accorded support through the University Language Center, which enables them to access amenities such as effective airport transfers and access to local markets, suitable accommodation facilities, affordable fees, cultural diversity and inclusivity of students admitted in the programme and utilization of online student resources.

Field trips are also organized for international students to help them acclamatize with different locations in Kenya.
