SPU hosts officials from The State Department for Higher Education and Research

St. Paul’s University has a robust Quality Management System, owing to the ISO 9001:2015 Certification, that is designed to enhance provision of quality education, continual improvement, customer satisfaction and meeting of stakeholder requirements including statutory and regulatory requirements governing higher education

It’s against this backdrop that on Wednesday 28th May 2025, the university hosted officials from The State Department for Higher Education and Research domiciled in the Ministry of Education at the Main Campus in for an assessment of teaching and learning at the university. The team engaged top university’s management led by the Vice Chancellor Rev. Canon Prof. James Kombo to evaluate the overall academic and infrastructural environment, identify challenges in the university academic sector and propose actionable solutions to improve quality and sustainable university education. The VC was in the company of senior university officials.

The visit is part of the ongoing monitoring and evaluation exercise by the state department to assess the teaching and learning environment in private universities in Kenya. The finding for the exercise will definitely result in improvement of the university’s processes enhancing delivery of quality education, hence customer satisfaction.
