There has never been a dull day in the department of Computer Science at St. Paul’s University! Students are often accorded opportunities to practice theoretical knowledge acquired in class in state-of-the-art computer labs under supervision by experienced professionals; and forums for interacting, networking and making merry with leading industry professionals.
On Thursday 3rd April 2025, students spent the better part of their day with women in Technology who graced on the Google IWD Series hosted at the main campus in Limuru. Students gained insight on emerging technologies from six speakers, who spoke on their respective areas of specialization: Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Digital Marketing, cloud computing among others. They each took time to demystify the concepts to the students whose glim on their faces affirmed their understanding of the different subjects. This forum also inspired participants to explore the subjects more.
The insightful session could not come to a close without celebrating the women in tech during a cake cutting session led by the Ag. Head of Department and appreciating the guests the St. Paul’s way: a gift hamper for each.
We are grateful to the guests for honoring the invitation and look forward to more of these in future.
