The Department of Nursing is pleased to announce the availability of Medical Benevolence Foundation (MBF) scholarships for nursing students who demonstrate exceptional commitment and dedication to their studies and community. This scholarship aims to support students who
are committed to their Christian faith, have financial need, and show promise in their educational and career pursuits. If you meet the following criteria, we encourage you to apply:
Eligibility Criteria
- Christian Commitment: Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian values and principles in their personal and academic lives.
- Financial Need: Applicants must provide evidence of genuine financial need to support their education.
- Education and Career Goals: Applicants should articulate clear and ambitious educational and career goals within the field of nursing.
- Achievements/Community Service: Applicants must have a record of achievements and active involvement in community service, leadership roles, and volunteer work.
- Adherence to University Code of Conduct: Applicants must demonstrate adherence to St. Paul’s University's code of conduct for students and maintain exemplary behaviour and ethics.
- Academic Requirements:
a. For new applicants: Must have attained a minimum of a B in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
b. For continuing students: Must have a GPA of at least 68%.
Application Process
To apply for the scholarship, please submit the following documents:
- Download the form from the University website.
- Personal Statement: A detailed essay (500-700 words) describing your Christian commitment, financial need, educational and career goals, achievements, and community service involvement (Be authentic. Avoid AI).
- Academic Transcripts: Copies of your KCSE results and, for continuing students, the most recent university transcript.
A Letter of Recommendation from a church leader

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee. Shortlisted candidates will be
invited for an interview.
