The Diploma in Education (Arts) programme is designed to prepare individuals to teach in secondary schools among other educational settings. It equips learners with requisite knowledge, skills, and values to effectively teach Art subjects and manage learning experiences for students.

1.5 year

Face to Face learning

The programme will be delivered through lectures, seminars, class discussions, case studies, field trips and class exercises.

Virtual / Distance and e-learning

The programme is delivered virtually through robust e-learning platforms that facilitate students’ interactions with self-instructional material such as study modules, multimedia prepared by lectures, online assessments and online interactive devices. The platforms also facilitate virtual student-lecturer interactions.

Blended learning

A combination of face-to-face and virtual learning.

Admission into the Diploma program will be subject to the general regulations of St. Paul’s University. Specifically, those intending to seek admission for the course will be expected to meet the following criteria:

• KCSE mean grade of C+ and C+ in teaching subjects
