The Diploma in Hotel and Hotel and Catering Management prepares students for an illustrious career in Hospitality by imparting in them skills in food and beverage, housekeeping, culinary arts just to mention a few. The delivery approach blends classroom learning and practicals session with experienced industry players.

1.5 year

Face to Face learning

The programme will be delivered through lectures, seminars, class discussions, case studies, field trips and class exercises.

Virtual / Distance and e-learning

The programme is delivered virtually through robust e-learning platforms that facilitate students’ interactions with self-instructional material such as study modules, multimedia prepared by lectures, online assessments and online interactive devices. The platforms also facilitate virtual student-lecturer interactions.

Blended learning

A combination of face-to-face and virtual learning.

Regular (Day)

Admission into the Diploma program will be subject to the general regulations of St. Paul’s University. Specifically, those intending to seek admission for the course will be expected to meet the following criteria:

• A minimum KCSE grade C- with a C in English OR
• “O” Level division III with a minimum of 38 points with 5 credits, one of which must be either in English Language or Literature in English. OR
• ‘A’ Level with 2 principal passes. OR
• D+ in KCSE with additional one-year certificate or above from a college OR
• Equivalents to the above qualifications as determined by St. Paul’s University Senate.
