Accredited by Kenya’s Commission for University Education and recognized by institutions worldwide, SPU is building bridges that take students far beyond the classroom.
Through international collaborations, exchange programmes, and online joint courses, SPU students are connecting with global peers and preparing for the international job market. It’s education with a passport and the journey is just beginning.
Recently, SPU signed a memorandum of understanding with international and local universities like Uganda Christian University, Handong University and Kempten University enabling faculty and student exchange programmes. A few students have already travelled abroad for semester-long studies, while others are attending virtual lectures from international professors. “It opened my mind to different academic cultures,” says Lydia, a Development Studies student.
Back home, SPU’s curriculum is benchmarked against global standards. External examiners, quality audits, and international conferences hosted by the university ensure students are learning from the best. With a growing alumni network across Africa, Europe, and the Americas, SPU is proudly global in outlook and local in impact.
