Victor Manan Nyambala is the Head of Supply Chain Operations for the complex crisis response in Ukraine with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. He is a seasoned humanitarian professional with robust experience in logistics, procurement, fleet, transportation, and humanitarian aid distribution. He has unmatched proficiency in end-to-end supply chain management, covering an impressive portfolio of over 100 operations and programmes, including emergency preparedness, response, and recovery operations in more than 25 countries across 4 continents.
Victor holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain management with Distinction from the University of Salford Manchester and a Bachelor of Business Management in Finance and Banking from Moi University. He has also undergone extensive industrial-based learning where he has gained specific skills in: policy development and implementation (crafting procurement policies for multiple National Societies ); leading high-performing teams through structured concepts like LEAN, AGILE, and KAIZEN ; strategic sourcing and contract management ; and specialized health supply chains, including establishing cold chain networks.
He holds MCIPS Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (UK) and CMILT Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transportation (UK). He is also certified in Humanitarian Medical Logistics Practices, Field Logistics in Emergencies, and holds an Advanced Certificate in Humanitarian Logistics. He is a professional member of both CIPS and CILT.
