REV. ISAYA DEYE
Presiding Bishop, Methodist Church in Kenya
The Rev. Isaya Deye is the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church in Kenya and serves in the Board of Trustees as a representative of the Methodist Church. Bishop Deye’s calling to Ministry began during his formative years; he was actively involved in church activities like singing and playing musical instruments. He is a seasoned clergy in the Methodist church in Kenya with a wealth of experience in pastoral ministry having started as a Lay Minister in 1983 before rising through the ranks to become the presiding Bishop. Besides ministry, Bishop Deye is a seasoned Arbitrator and has actively been involved in Peace Building and Reconciliation initiatives, Ecumenical Civic Education, Disaster Mitigation and Preparedness, and the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Bishop Deye is an accomplished scholar. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate and Holds a Bachelor of Divinity and Diploma in Theology and Pastoral Ministry. The St. Paul’s alumnus also holds several other accreditations in Islamic, Church Planting and Growth, and Advanced Leadership Skills.
