CPA Reuben Gitau Kamau is the Kenya Country Director Child Refuge Centres International / Kenya Hope. He is also a practising accountant and is the Managing Partner at Gitau Kamau & Associates (CPA).

CPA Reuben is a financial specialist with over twenty years of experience in the private, non-profit, and healthcare sectors. He has a wealth of experience managing projects in education, relief, and development across Kenya, Somaliland, Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan. He has unmatched proficiency in accounting, financing, budgeting, and cost control principles. He also possesses expertise in human resources, administration, and security matters, with a proven track record of overseeing health, food security, and WASH projects.

He has undergone extensive industrial-based learning, where he has gained specific skills in: USAID compliance, organizational and project audits, rolling budgets, short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, and in-depth knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. He is proficient with various accounting software and ERP.

CPA Reuben is actively involved in serving communities. He serves as a Church Elder and Honorary Treasurer at PCEA St. Andrew’s Church, Treasurer of Milimani North Presbytery and as the Chairman of the Board of Management for Kigumo Primary School.

CPA Reuben is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of ICPAK, holds bachelor of Art in Economics (UON), Master’s degree in MBA Finance (UON) and a Diploma in Theology from the Presbyterian University.
