SPU Spiritual Formation

January 28, 2026

What does it mean to grow in faith while pursuing a degree? At SPU, faith isn’t just a private affair it’s part of the culture. Daily devotions, vibrant fellowships, and reflective retreats that give students room to connect with their spiritual selves.

The chaplaincy offers not just prayer, but guidance and presence helping students navigate life’s big questions with grace and courage. Many students say these spiritual moments have helped them discover their calling, build resilience, and grow in character. For SPU, academic growth and spiritual growth go hand in hand.

Each semester begins with a university wide chapel service led by the Chaplain and worship teams, setting the tone for the academic journey ahead. Various student-led fellowships meet weekly, including the Christian Union . These gatherings create space for prayer, Bible study, and reflection, where students and staff form deep, lasting bonds.

SPU also encourages interfaith dialogue, offering students from all backgrounds the opportunity to explore spiritual identity in a respectful, inclusive environment. The goal is simple: to produce graduates who lead not just with knowledge, but with heart.
