Members of the Drama club were treated to finger-licking bitings during a high tea session at the Abigael Restaurant courtesy of Rev. Canon Prof. James Kombo, the Vice Chancellor,
owing to the club's stellar performance during last year's competitions. The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by senior members of the university management: Rev. Truphie Kwaka-Sumba, Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor Finance and Administration, Rev. Dr. Joseph Mutei, Dean of Students and Mr. Michael Mungai, Deputy Corporate Affairs Manager.
While making his remarks, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the team for dedicating their time to prepare for the competitions and putting in their best towards preparations and the actual presentation during the competitions, that placed the university on the map once more. He also thanked the Patron, Mr. Karugu Mureithi for nurturing the talented individuals into making the best out their God-given talent. Efforts made by other staff towards realizing the win would not go unnoticed. The Vice Chancellor enumerated input made by individual departments for instance financing and checking on their welfare and urged them to keep the fire burning.
St. Paul's university is committed to delivering a holistic education. In this regard, our curriculum incorporates extracurricular activities in a bid to nurture all-rounded graduates. While making his remarks, the Vice Chancellor reiterated this and affirmed his support for the club as they prepare to represent the university in upcoming competitions. The Club is set to represent the university during this year's Regional Drama Festival scheduled to take place in Kitui.
